Alumina Chrome Refractories Range
Durabrick ALC series offer exceptional wear resistance, hot strength and excellent corrosion-resistant against acid or alkali melts. The solid-solution bond between alumina and chromic oxide is inert to a wide variety of slags.
Higher Cr₂O₃ content grades upto 95% are also available. Based on a special fused grain high in chromic oxide, these products are selected for the most extreme cases of high temperature and corrosiveness.
Technical Specifications
Chrome content ranges from 5% to 95%
Bulk density varies from 2.9 to 4.25 g/cm³, enhancing strength.
Apparent porosity is between 15% and 18%, suitable for high temperatures.
Most grades have a cold crushing strength of at least 100 MPa.
These bricks can withstand high temperatures up to 1700°C (3092°F) under load.
