Fused Silica Shapes Range
LANTUFF® ALFLOW is a range of high fired fused silica molten metal transfer landers, fitter bowls & shapes known for their excellent thermal shock resistance, high strength, and non-wetting characteristics with molten aluminum & aluminum alloys.
LANTUFF® ALFLOW shapes are manufactured using high purity raw materials and have an improved performance in terms of service life and reduced contamination, oxidation in casthouse operations when compared to other Fused Silica Precast products
Technical Specifications
Fused Silica Compositions: Range from 76% to 99% purity.
Temperature Resistance: Can withstand temperatures up to 3,000°F (1,649°C)
Thermal Cycling: Thermal cycling above 1,000°C is generally not recommended.
Density: Ranges between 1.8 – 22 g/cm’, ensuring lightweight yet robust components
Thermal Conductivity: Low thermal conductivity, typically around 1.38 WimK. contributing to excellent insulating properties.
